Shipping, Returns & FAQs

Shipping

We ship within the UK using Royal Mail and Internationally via Royal Mail or a courier service. Prices and options available are shown at checkout. If you choose a tracked service the tracking number will be sent to you by email when the parcel has been despatched. If your parcel has not arrived as expected please use this tracking number to check your delivery before contacting us.

We ship to the address specified in your order. If the address is incorrect or undeliverable for any reason and the product is returned to us, the buyer will have the option to pay the shipping again and we will attempt delivery again with a different address, or the buyer can receive a refund for the product, minus the original shipping cost.

Shipping outside of the UK

If placing an order for delivery to a country outside of the UK, any local taxes, import and/or export duties are the liability of the purchaser. These are not calculated at checkout and payment of these taxes and/or duties are not the responsibility of Jenni Smith Ltd. We cannot predict the cost of fees/taxes/duty as each country has different rules. By purchasing from us you agree to be responsible for any fees/taxes/duty incurred by your order.

Returns

We do our best to check all of our products and make sure that they are top quality. In the case that one of our items arrives to you damaged or defective, we will readily accept returns free of charge. A photo will be required to show us the defective product, and we must be contacted within a week of delivery in writing to jenni@jenni-smith.co.uk. We will replace the item or offer a refund if no replacement can be made.

If you purchase items from us, you have 14 days, from the date of delivery, to notify us in writing to jenni@jenni-smith.co.uk if you wish to cancel your order or exchange goods for another item. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. The goods must be returned in their original packaging in the condition they were received.

Also please note that despite our upmost efforts to show all products as accurately as possible, due to the nature of the print process, varying monitor and device performance, as well as fundamental differences between web and print colour reproduction, the accuracy of colours displayed on this website cannot be guaranteed.

  • As the authors and designers of the book and all of the projects, we are uniquely placed to teach you and offer calm, clear and friendly tutorials.  The workshops are broken down into bite size, manageable lessons.  Each workshop is filmed in our Yorkshire studio using multi-camera professional videography.

  • The eyemask workshop is FREE and a great place to start.  You can then decide which project from the book you would like to have a go at next.  There is no correct order in which to sew each project, just pick the next one that you fancy and we will be there to guide you every step of the way.

  • Yes, you can buy a gift vouchers in the shop. Gift vouchers have an expiry date of three years from the date of purchase.

  • We offer a beginner bundle which includes workshops 1-5, and also a bundle including all ten workshops.  They are both available in the shop and offer great savings.

  • The tools section on pages 22-25 in the book provide details on our favourite tools and notions. We sew on Janome sewing machines and as general rule use Aurifil threads.

  • There are different options:

    If you are able, we would recommend a visit to a bricks and mortar shop to explore fabric in real life and chat with the retailers.

    If not, there are many wonderful online stores for fabric across the world.  To get some inspiration, check out the guest designers in the book to see their amazing fabric collections.
